The winter weather is getting a bit extreme this year in Maryland. Most years, a few inches of snow, a scare of ice and a week of cold is usually all old man winter throws at us. After all, we are south of the Mason/Dixon line and magnolia trees survive with a bit of shelter. This year Canada rode the jet stream down south to linger awhile and doesn’t want to leave. Bitter cold and a foot of snow is coming, but I am stocked up with milk and chocolate and many, many quilt projects to occupy my time.
Here is yet another Wee Wander Quilt to add to the growing pile of Sarah Jane quilts. It is called “Fairy Tree Quilt”:
Here is a detail of the tree:
Now I’ve made fairy lights, fairy houses and fairy trees. The Fairy Tree Quilt is available in the shop here. The pattern is still in the works, the tree was a bit hard to translate to 9 x 11 inch sheets of printer paper and needs a bit more revision and a some testing before publication. It should be ready later this week. Stay warm 🙂
